supervision
"Rachael is an amazing supervisor. She brought me not only a wealth of knowledge in liberation, Jungian, and eco-psychology, but also the unique perspective of a third-culture kid and immigrant. I wholeheartedly recommend her!"
I supervise AMFTs and early-stage clinicians. My approach is supportive and strengths-based, because it's my belief that we all have enough self-doubt and inner criticism to last until the heat-death of the universe. When you're starting out, it's more instructive to know what you do well, and build out from your strengths.
My focus is to help you with differential diagnosis, sound case formulation, workable therapy goals, and integrating all the theory you have learned with sound, compassionate, non-pathologising practice within an integrative, liberation psychology frame.
As a multi-cultural person myself, running a bilingual practice, I often work with clinicians whose perspective is gained from being outside mainstream spaces: people with ADHD, queer, GNB and BIPOC folks, immigrant therapists working bilingually and biculturally, etc.
I base my supervision on over a decade of experience teaching Clinical Relationship, Gestalt therapy, Multicultural Counseling, Psychodynamics, Jungian Dreamwork, Eco-Emotions and Ecopsychology, at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, California.

consultation
I also offer a bi-weekly consultation group for licensed clinicians, with a particular focus on:
- liberation psychology
- feminist therapy
- multi-cultural issues
- lineage trauma and resilience.
“I feel lucky to have had her as both professor and supervisor. Rachael brings rare depth, warmth, and cross-cultural sensitivity. Her understanding of corporate stress, identity, and immigrant experience has shaped how I think about therapy.“
